About this service
The terrace runs the length of the restaurant on the north side of the hotel, looking straight at the volcanoes. On a clear morning you can pick out Sabyinyo and Gahinga from a table; by six the light goes and the terrace turns into the best-placed drinks reception in Musanze.
It is hired for briefings the night before a trek, for small dinners, and for the reception half of weddings that are staying in the north. Ninety standing is comfortable; more than that and the view stops being the point.
Musanze is a thousand metres higher than Kigali and the evenings are genuinely cold. The rate includes the patio heaters and the blankets, which is not a detail anyone regrets paying for.
